Zimm Boo Baa

Move over 2009, the Big Mombajamba 2010 is stepping in.
I think it is time for an old-throw-back.

What I have learned in 2009:
*To fix my eyes on Jesus in the calm and the storm.
*Running the first mile sucks, but it is worth it at mile 26.2.
* Take time to live in each moment.
*Don't wish away seasons in life. Embrace each one.
*Take vitamins every day.
*Leave people in the hands of God. He only can change people. Not me.
*Jesus Christ is my soul-anchor.
*"My God, He can move mountains; He is mighty to save...."
*Never, ever bleach my whole head again.
*Get up the moment my alarm goes off in the morning. Bite the bullet.
*"Let God take over your thought-closet," Jennifer Rothchild.
*Do hair and face masques at least once a week.

What I have experienced in 2009:
*Job searching. Job interviews. Job training.
*Living on my own.
*Working in a cubicle.
*Disappointments and letting God pick up the pieces.
* Body surfing in the gulf.
*Marathon training.
*Buying my first, real cowgirl boots.
*Turning 21.
*Running on the beach.
*Having a fire come within 2 miles of my home.
*The Christmas Blizzard of 2009.

What I have loved about 2009:
*My family and friends.
*Graduating from college.
*Completing my first marathon.
*Seeing Wicked.
*My Apartment.
*Being introduced to MarsHill Church.
*Thanksgiving in Colorado.
*Having a reliable, well-paying job.
*Rush Limbaugh
*Working in Cubbies and the Church nursery.

Hot Milk Cake al la P.W.

Mom made the apron for me. She should open a shop on Etsy.

My sister wanted a Hot Milk Cake, and when she cracks that whip you better jump!

Just Joking.

The picure of the final product looks like crud. But it was really good.
Just ask Hannah.

And anyway? Who do you think I am, PioneerWoman or somethin'?

Now It Happened in Iconium.....

I have a brain freeze. I don't know what to write about. Blame it on my head-cold, I guess.

So be prepared for a random post.

Christmas was great.
It was fun being stretched on the couch with it snowing.
I got the skirt-leggings that I wanted. And pj set from VS.
Oh, and the slippers. Can't forget the slippers.

Ruby, Zoe and I cuddled a lot. I miss them.

The blizzard is gone. All gone.
But we are expecting snow tomorrow, the next and the next. And I have another 3 day weekend.
Oh, and Dick Van Dyke! I love the Dick Van Dyke show!

Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow!

Thank goodness, because I definitely am not!

White Christmas

Christmas wishes do come true!

My half-day at work was cancelled. The rain turned into ice, and the ice has turned into snow.
And after these pictures were taken, it turned into a blizzard. Our State's weather is never gentle!

Church is cancelled. Everything is cancelled.
But our little Christmas celebration lives on in our household.
Roast Beef and Yorshire Pudding, Whiskey and Egg-nog, Jesus' Birthday Cake,
Christmas Story out of Luke, Two Puppies Curled Up on their Beds,
Opening Presents, and Family.
It is a White Christmas.

Merry Christmas!
